For five years the city was wonky

Micron is ending! Our final closing parties continue as per protocol every second Friday at Joshua Brooks, Manchester followed by one last Micron on NYE. So it's business as usual as we put to rest a party which will - we think - be fondly remembered by many and for rather a long time.

When we play our final tune in the early hours of next year, we will finish an incredible five (and a bit) year adventure. From our first, jam packed night at Joshua Brooks in November 2006, we caught an instant vibe. After hitting every party and festival in Manchester we built residencies in London and Moscow, via DJ Mag awards ceremonies and visits to remote Russian festivals, Indian Beaches, Serbian forts and bonkers Dutch boat parties.

Some rules were agreed at Micron's inception. Excellent music, naturally. But FUN seemed to be missing in Manchester at the time. All a bit serious. Loads of chin strokers. So we ripped the piss out of ourselves and that seemed to work. Luckily, people seemed to like that and we were immediately and consistently blessed with our very own wonderful, loyal, sexy, fun crowd. We owe them everything and we love them all.
